This is me, Stacey, creator of this site and all of the featured artwork. Since I was a child, I have been known to sculpt a bar of soap into a sculpture or draw designs on the kitchen in ketchup (sorry mom!) I never minded being grounded, because it just meant I had more time to paint and draw in my room. I grew up in a small town in New Hampshire, and have been inspired by the world around me since a young age-everything from mountains to trash, and yes, vegetables. My obsession with vegetables stems from an intensive painting class where we had to paint the same object for 30 days and I chose: a pepper. The irony? I don't even like to eat peppers, though I enjoy their reflective beauty and shape. Some 57 paintings later, I moved onto other vegetables and subjects, and now I see the world in paint. I am constantly looking to sculpt, create, mold or paint something, in hopes to give 'new light' to everyday objects that surround us. My wish is that somehow, even if it's just a little bit, I can have a positive impact the world by making my small artistic contribution, and encourage other talents to shine.
